1. Surf to the following link: http://www.java.com and install the version of Java they suggest. This is important! You must have their latest version. They might tell you that you already have the latest version.
2. Surf to the following link: http://jedit.org/index.php?page=download and download their latest stable version. Start the installation program to install jEdit.
3. Start jEdit and go to the menu “plugins->plugin-manager” and click on the “download options” and choose a “mirror” close to you and hit OK. Press the tab “install” and choose “Lazy8Ledger” and hit the “install” button.
4. Restart jEdit and answer “yes” to that you want to run the setup for Lazy8 Ledger.
Optional Extra installation instructions:
If you need the latest version of Lazy8Ledger, you can then download the following file:
http://www.lazy8.nu/download/Lazy8Ledger.jar
and replace the Lazy8Ledger.jar that should be in your “/home/(username)/.jedit/jars” directory with the one you downloaded. In Windows this directory is often “c:\Users\(username)\.jedit\jars”. In macintosh it is usually “User/Library/jEdit/jars”. Restart jEdit.
Once again, go to the jEdit plugin-manager window and do an “update” to get the latest BufferTabs program. Just click on the update tab and there you should see the BufferTabs to be updated. Hit ok. Thats it
