Lazy8 Ledger is designed to mainly support the ‘small office/home office’ (SOHO) businesses. Most SOHO businesses only use a general ledger for all their accounting needs. SOHO businesses dont usually have the time or resources to track with the computer ‘billing’, ‘accounts payable’, ‘accounts receivable’, ‘stock management’, etc. Such needs are handled manually. Larger businesses who definately must have ‘accounts payable’, ‘accounts receivable’ and ‘stock management’ managed by the computer will have no use for Lazy8 Ledger. Also, Lazy8 Ledger cannot track multiple currencies. Only one currency per company is allowed.

I am looking to replace the general ledger system I installed at a club I belong to many years ago in Cobol. They have a lot of journal entries which automatically deduct vat for expenses or Income. Will your program allow for this?
No. This is just a general ledger. There is no automatic anything. All entries into the ledger are manually done. But of course, VAT is something that everyone who uses this program must deal with and enter.
